Date for Rappahannock Hunt Point to Point Races Pushed Back to Saturday, March 28th!


Saddle up for one of Virginia’s favorite spring traditions! On Saturday, March 28, 2026, Rappahannock
Hunt’s Annual Point-to-Point Race returns to The Hill in Boston, VA—with a new date! This venue offers a
beautiful countryside view, located at 13257 Durantes Curve, Boston, VA 22713, just off Route 522. This
longstanding Virginia sporting tradition offers a full day of steeplechase excitement set against the
backdrop of scenic horse country.

The 2026 race card features a diverse lineup of hurdle, timber, flat, and pony races throughout the day.
Spectators will enjoy watching talented jockeys navigate solid jumps and rolling course hills, while the
ever-popular pony races highlight the skill and confidence of young riders.

Thoroughbreds from Virginia and neighboring states will compete for top honors and season recognition.
“The Rappahannock Hunt Point-to-Point has long been a cornerstone of Virginia’s steeplechase season,
and our 2026 races promise to be exceptional. As we move to a later date on the calendar, we look
forward to welcoming outstanding horses and riders from across the region and offering spectators a
memorable day of sport, tradition, and community,” said Oliver Brown, MFH and Race Chairman.

This event is open to the public. Gates open at 10:00 a.m., and the first race begins at 12:00 p.m. Guests
are encouraged to arrive early for parking, tailgating, and socializing. A food truck will be onsite
throughout the day. Reserved parking offers the most convenient race-day experience, with excellent
views available from every row at The Hill.

New parking this year is available on the race course! This is a
thrilling opportunity where you will be in the middle of the action as the race horses thunder past.
Reserved parking passes may be purchased online till 11:59 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2026, through
https://www.rappahannockhunt.com/rh-point-to-point-races. General admission passes will be available
at the admission gate on race day for $10 per person.
